Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 21, 2026

brieflyOS is a personal organization service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide when you create or use an account, such as your account details and the content you choose to add to brieflyOS. This can include tasks, routines, projects, notes, contacts, files, and other information you choose to store in the service.

We also collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device and browser information, IP address, authentication and security events, and diagnostic logs.

How we use information

We use your information to provide, maintain, and secure brieflyOS; personalize the experience you request; respond to support requests; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How information is shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate brieflyOS, when you direct us to share it, or when required by law. Providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us. We may disclose information to protect the security, rights, or property of brieflyOS and its users.

Retention and security

We retain account information while your account is active and for a limited period afterward when needed for security, backups, legal obligations, or dispute resolution. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including encryption in transit. No system is completely secure, so please use a unique, strong password and keep your device secure.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also request account deletion through our account-deletion page. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

Children

brieflyOS is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than the one where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated policy here and change the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through the service.
